Prompt Optimizer
A skill for optimizing prompts given to Claude Code. It takes a user's draft prompt, analyzes it in the context of the current conversation, and produces multiple optimized versions with clear explanations of what was improved and why.
When to Use
- User wants to optimize a prompt before sending it to Claude
- User asks "how should I phrase this", "help me write a better prompt", "optimize this instruction"
- User has a draft prompt and wants it refined for clarity, precision, or structure
How It Works
You receive the user's original prompt as input. Your job is to:
- Understand what the user actually wants to accomplish (from the prompt itself and the conversation context)
- Identify problems in the original prompt
- Produce three optimized versions, each with a different optimization strategy
Step 1: Analyze the Original Prompt

review-loop
Iterative review-fix loop with three agents. Spawns a read-only Reviewer agent to analyze workspace diff against user goals, main agent filters findings for reasonableness, then a Dev agent applies fixes. Trigger on: 'review loop', 'review and fix', 'review-fix cycle', 'iterative review', 'help me review and fix'. (project)
7skill-optimizer
Audit and optimize SKILL.md files against skill-creator writing standards. Use this skill whenever someone wants to review skill quality, a skill feels too long or triggers poorly, before releasing a skill, or when restructuring skill content. Triggers on: 'optimize skill', 'audit skill', 'review skill quality', 'skill health check', 'skill too long'.
5skill-reviewer
Static audit of SKILL.md files against skill-creator writing standards. Use this skill whenever someone wants to review skill quality, check a skill's health, audit a skill before publishing, verify a skill follows best practices, or diagnose issues with a skill's structure, description, or instructions. Triggers on: 'review skill', 'audit skill', 'check skill quality', 'skill health check', 'diagnose skill', 'is this skill well-written', 'skill lint'.
4skill-auditor
Evaluate skill effectiveness through test runs, grading, benchmarking, and A/B comparison. Use this skill whenever someone wants to test a skill against real prompts, measure skill quality with quantitative metrics, compare two skill versions, benchmark skill performance, optimize a skill's description for better triggering, or run evals. Triggers on: 'test this skill', 'run evals', 'benchmark skill', 'compare skill versions', 'skill triggering', 'does this skill work', 'eval skill'.
3skill-enhancer
Supplement existing skills with new content following skill-creator best practices. Use this skill whenever someone wants to add a new section to a skill, supplement a skill with references or agents or scripts, expand a skill's capabilities, add examples or error handling, enrich a skill's content, or fill in missing parts of a skill. Triggers on: 'enhance skill', 'add to skill', 'supplement skill', 'expand skill', 'skill needs more', 'enrich skill content', 'add section to skill', 'complete this skill'.
