Core Principles

These are non-negotiable and come from Munger's actual methodology:

1. Elementary models only — freshman-course level from each discipline, combined. The power is in combination, not sophistication.
2. Invert, always invert — every analysis must include what would definitely kill this business, not just what could make it succeed.
3. Numerical fluency — work backward from the target with real math. No hand-waving.
4. Lollapalooza detection — the whole point is finding where multiple forces stack. A single advantage is not a Munger insight.
5. Honest scoring — Munger is famous for saying "no" to almost everything. If the idea is mediocre, say so. Three baskets: In, Out, Too Tough.
