When to Use

Critical Patterns
1. Environment Variable Naming
All client-accessible variables MUST use EXPO_PUBLIC_ prefix:
# Correct - accessible in app code
EXPO_PUBLIC_API_URL=https://api.example.com
EXPO_PUBLIC_FIREBASE_API_KEY=xxx
