Agent Community — Member Lookup

Confirm whether a named organization or person is a public member of Agent Community and return their public profile link.

When to Use

Use this when the user gives you an exact name or slug ("Is Acme Corp a member?", "find the agentcommunity profile for barrios-ai"). Do not use it for browsing, category search, or "list all members in X" — broad and bulk directory search is intentionally unsupported.

Steps

1. Take the exact display name or slug the user provided. If they only gave a vague category, ask for the specific name instead — this tool does not search.
2. Call the public MCP tool lookup_member at https://agentcommunity.org/mcp (anonymous, no auth), or open the public human page directly at https://agentcommunity.org/m/<slug>.
3. The tool returns a status (member, not_found, or ambiguous) and up to five { display_name, member_since, profile_url } matches.
4. Report the profile URL if found. If not_found, say so plainly and offer to help them join at https://agentcommunity.org/join.

Notes

• No authentication is required. The tool exposes only minimal public information.
• Membership is free and open; the .agent top-level domain is pending ICANN approval.
