Edit reader-facing prose so it is accurate, specific, and natural for its intended audience. Preserve the author's meaning, claims, and appropriate voice. Do not invent facts, sources, opinions, or first-person experience to make the text sound human.

Process

1. Establish the text's audience, purpose, and voice from the request and surrounding material. Keep technical terms that carry necessary precision; replace jargon that only makes a simple point sound important.

   Done when the intended reader and the job the text must do are clear.

2. Rewrite for concrete information. State what happened, who did it, what changes, and what the reader needs to know or do. Name a source when attribution matters; otherwise remove vague attributions and unsupported claims. Replace generic praise, promotional language, abstract metaphors, and stock conclusions with evidence or delete them.
