MCP for Blender

blender-mcp is two halves that must both be running:

MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Codex, OpenCode)
   -> blender-mcp server process (uvx blender-mcp)
   -> local socket on 127.0.0.1:9876
   -> Blender addon listening inside a running Blender

Neither half alone does anything. The server exposes 31 MCP tools and one prompt; the addon executes their commands inside the user's live Blender session.

This skill is pinned to upstream commit 7684c6b3ad2aa0710bbdb1cb06b497c90899ae00 (2026-09-15), package version 1.9.4, addon protocol version 7. The repository publishes no Git tags or GitHub releases, so pin a commit rather than a tag.
