GitHub issue and pull request view
This Skill is read-only. It does not create, edit, comment on, label, assign, merge, close, or otherwise mutate GitHub resources. It does not use the arks CLI, MCP, GitHub API tokens, or repository-specific files.
Activation and readiness
Use this Skill when the request identifies one GitHub repository and one issue or pull-request number and asks to inspect it. Do not use it for GitHub searches, repository files, Actions, reviews, mutations, or general web research.
Before running the viewer, confirm that gh --version is available and that the user has already authenticated it in their own environment. Never ask for or place a token in a command, request file, Skill file, or conversation. If authentication or repository access fails, report the bounded error and stop.
Run the view
Run the Skill-local script from this directory (or its installed copy):
node scripts/view-issue-pr.mjs --repo OWNER/REPOSITORY --number NUMBER
The script invokes gh api noninteractively with shell execution disabled, ignores stdin, and applies a 10-second timeout and 256 KiB response limit. Its stdout is one JSON object. Diagnostics are not a second data channel: errors are concise JSON on stderr and never include raw gh stderr. Do not substitute gh pr view, gh issue edit, or arbitrary gh arguments.
