The point is not tidiness. Agents write code faster than a team can review it, so verification has to become mechanical. Each control you install is a sensor the agent hits by itself — before any human reads the diff.

You install eight controls, prove each one fails when it should, and record them in AGENTS.md so the agent knows they exist.
