[PERSISTENCE]: The skill establishes long-term persistence on the host machine by installing background daemons using OS-native schedulers.
On macOS, it creates and loads a Launch Agent configuration at ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.egregore.watchdog.plist.
On Linux, it creates systemd service and timer units within ~/.config/systemd/user/.
It also recommends enabling user lingering (loginctl enable-linger), which allows these background processes to continue running even when the user is not logged in.
[COMMAND_EXECUTION]: The skill executes local shell scripts to perform the installation and verification of the watchdog service.
Specifically, it runs bash plugins/egregore/scripts/install_launchd.sh and bash plugins/egregore/scripts/install_systemd.sh based on the detected operating system.
It uses launchctl and systemctl to load and verify the status of the background services.
