Scroll-Driven History & Timeline Section

What this builds

A vertically scrolling timeline section where a continuous line draws itself downward as the user scrolls, connecting chronological entries (dates, milestones, events) that reveal with staggered choreography at their scroll positions. The entire section is a pinned or flow-based scrollytelling unit with act structure, not a static list of dates with fade-ins.

• A progress line (SVG path or pseudo-element) that draws in proportion to scroll position
• Chronological entries that alternate sides (or stack on mobile) with staggered reveal
• Date markers that snap into focus with scale and opacity transitions
• Optional media (images, stats, quotes) embedded per entry with their own sub-choreography
• Act structure: opening hook, rising narrative, climax milestone, resolution/present-day
• Global progress indicator showing position within the timeline
• prefers-reduced-motion fallback that shows all entries statically with the line fully drawn
