Overview

Before anyone draws a screen, the useful question is not "what looks good" but "what has the industry already settled, and what is actually required". This survey answers it from documentation — governed design systems, the normative interaction specifications, accessibility criteria, platform guidelines, and the catalogue of patterns known to be deceptive.
