Cross-Functional Launch Planner
When to use this skill
- The user is preparing to launch a new product, feature, or update.
- The user asks for a Go-to-Market (GTM) plan or a Launch Checklist.
- The user provides a completed Positioning Document and needs to operationalize it.
Workflow
- Review Positioning: Absorb the product's Positioning Document, target Personas, and Distinctive Competencies.
- Define Launch Tier: Help the user classify the launch (e.g., Tier 1: Major disruption, Tier 2: Significant feature, Tier 3: Minor update) to dictate the necessary effort.
- Build the Matrix: Generate a cross-functional launch matrix detailing tasks and messaging for Marketing, Sales, Support, Operations, and Channel/Partners.
- Draft Plan: Output a structured, actionable Launch Plan.
Instructions
- Ensure the plan is truly cross-functional. A launch isn't just a marketing press release; it requires sales enablement, support training, and operational readiness.
- Tie all Go-to-Market messaging back to the core Positioning Statement and buyer personas.
- Remind the user that the goal of the launch is to drive specific business outcomes (e.g., pipeline, adoption, revenue), not just to "generate buzz."
