Anomalyx2The code appears to be a legitimate local media-cache implementation and contains no evident malware. It has a potentially significant path traversal/arbitrary file copy risk if localPath or cacheRecord.cached_path can be controlled by an attacker or untrusted manifest. Validate that destination paths remain within projectDir, reject absolute paths and '..' segments, and derive or constrain cached_path to the expected global cache directory.
The code appears to implement legitimate URL freezing and local file-copy functionality, with no clear indicators of malware or intentional sabotage. Security depends on callers validating URLs and filesystem paths. Arbitrary caller-controlled URLs could enable SSRF, and arbitrary paths could enable path traversal or unintended file overwrite. The response size check limits retained output but occurs after the full response has already been buffered.
