Interrogate Idiom
Use this when the durable unit is not the argument but the phrase, move, or distinction carrying the force.
The goal is idiom mining: find or coin a compact language-form that can travel, recur, become a touchstone, and train shared attention.
In the Center Study sense, an idiom is not just style. It is a verbal unit that becomes usable currency inside a scene: it orients attention, carries debt to the center, and becomes more true/useful as people repeat, exchange, and act through it.

Working maxim: idioms now need to be manufactured rather than inherited; good idioms are paradoxical, imperative, iterable, and gain force through repetition.
Rule
Do not paraphrase the idiom into bland explanation until you know what pressure it compresses and what scene it could organize.
