The user has asked for a retrospective. You are suggesting improvements to the coding agent's environment to improve future runs.
Steps
-
Call the Skill tool with
writing-for-agentsfor the writing style guide. -
List every session for the current repo, unless the user names a narrower set. In T3 Code, call
t3_thread_listwith noprojectId: it defaults to this thread's project, which spans the main checkout and every worktree (deleted ones included), every provider, and settled threads. Page withcursoruntilnextCursoris null.Outside T3 Code, list session logs on disk instead. A log belongs to the repo when its working directory is the main checkout or any of its worktrees, including worktrees deleted since, whose logs outlive them. Get the checkouts from
git worktree list, and count every directory beside a linked worktree (same parent folder) as one of the repo's past worktrees.- Claude Code:
~/.claude/projects/<dir>/*.jsonl, where<dir>is the checkout path with each/and.replaced by-. - Codex:
~/.codex/sessions/YYYY/MM/DD/*.jsonl, where the first line'spayload.cwdholds the working directory.
Done when every page or matching log file is on the list.

-
Read the sessions through subagents, one batch each, since together they are too large to read inline. In T3 Code, a subagent reads each thread with
t3_thread_readandview: "activity", which carries tool calls and reasoning beside the messages, paging withafterPosition. Each subagent returns the friction in its batch: places the agent searched long, made a mistake, retried, or was corrected by the user, each with its thread ID or log file and a quoted excerpt. Done when every listed session is covered by a returned batch. -
Look for candidates for improvement in these categories, using the friction as evidence.
