Pass 1: Developmental Edit (Big Picture)

• Does the story arc work?
• Are character motivations clear and consistent?
• Is the pacing right? (Too slow? Too rushed?)
• Do the stakes escalate properly?
• Are subplots resolved?
• Is the theme woven through the narrative?
• Are there plot holes or contradictions?
