Edit Video

Edit in passes. The rough cut decides what the video says; the fine cut decides how smoothly and natively the audience receives it.

Choose the mode:

• Feedback edit: cut a small early batch, report production-wide changes, and return to video-record.
• Final edit: complete all passes and hand an approved master to repurposing or publication.

Creator defaults

For this creator, all clips, reels and shorts use the saved creator style and youtube-remotion-clips by default, independent of source origin. The creator need not name the style or Remotion. Use the preset automatically when no different treatment is explicitly requested, including when the local style profile is absent. If another editor is explicitly requested, carry the same typography, caption placement and highlighting, tight cuts, sustained images, split cover and opening swipe into that editor. Adapt the camera region to actual source footage when no speaker camera exists. Keep sustained images relevant to the explanation and preserve complete ideas through tight cuts. Prefer actual product screenshots and verified people photos when relevant. Fill all regions edge to edge with media, without decorative backgrounds, cards, padding or added text over cutaways. Keep subtitles and the one-frame preview title.

1. Protect And Organize

Keep original recordings intact. Synchronize camera, screen, microphone, system audio, and secondary sources. Use the take log to identify preferred takes.

Choose the canonical orientation from the brief. When both vertical and horizontal versions are required, share source media and editorial decisions while allowing each composition its own framing and timing. A crop is not automatically a valid format adaptation.
