DevExpress Dashboard Export
The Dashboard supports two export paths: visual (the end user clicks "Export To" in the UI) and non-visual (server-side code exports without user interaction). Visual export is on by default; non-visual export uses an exporter class in code. All platforms support PDF, Image (PNG/JPEG/SVG/GIF), and Excel (XLSX/XLS); CSV is available for individual dashboard items only.
Each platform has its own exporter class and its own reference file — load the one for your platform (Rule 1).
When to Use This Skill
Use this skill when you need to:
- Export a dashboard or dashboard item to PDF, Image, or Excel in server-side code
- Implement scheduled or email-based (non-visual) export — see references/email-and-batch-export.md
- Merge several item/state exports into one PDF file
- Customize the exported document (headers, hidden items, modified Excel content)
- Enable or disable the export UI (whole dashboard / individual items)
- Apply dashboard state (filters, drill-down, parameters) to an export
- Configure export options (page size, orientation, DPI, Excel format)
- Fix export that is blank / fails on Linux, macOS, Azure, or Docker
