Analytics Setup

Overview

Designs a product analytics system before you implement it. Most startups track the wrong things, end up with messy event schemas, and can't answer basic questions about their product. This skill defines what to track and why before touching any code.

Outputs an ANALYTICS-SPEC.md after all phases are approved.

Prerequisites

Ask the user for:

• Product description and core user workflow
• Tech stack (frontend framework, backend language)
• Analytics tool preference (or ask for a recommendation)
• Current analytics state (nothing / Google Analytics only / some events / messy events)
• The 3 most important questions they want to be able to answer
