Overview

Writes compelling job descriptions that attract great candidates and filter out poor fits. Most startup JDs either undersell the opportunity or list so many requirements that qualified candidates self-select out. This skill fixes both.

Step 1: Role Brief

Ask the user:

• Role title: (exact title - will affect search results on job boards)
• Team context: Who does this person work with and report to?
• Why this role exists now: What triggered the need? (Growing too fast / founding team needs help / specific problem to solve)
• What success looks like in 90 days: The 1-3 concrete outcomes
• Must-have skills/experience: (3-5 max - things you'd reject a candidate for lacking)
• Nice-to-have: (things that would excite you but aren't dealbreakers)
• Salary range: (post it - candidates who require more self-select out early)
• Remote / hybrid / in-person + location
