Use this skill when work touches an MCP server written in TypeScript: tools, resources, prompts, transports, auth, tests, packaging, deployment, or an upgrade from the v1 SDK.

Snapshot (2026-10-09): @modelcontextprotocol/server@2.3.1 and @modelcontextprotocol/client@2.3.1 (v2 is the stable line). Latest spec revision: 2026-07-28. @modelcontextprotocol/sdk@1.32.1 is the v1 line, still the npm latest of that package name: do not install it for new work. Refresh from source-map.md when the installed version differs.
