• Background atmosphere (subtle, large area).
• Data visualization (heat maps, scales).
• Brand accents (signature gradient = brand recognition).
• Depth and dimension.

When They Don't

• Text backgrounds (readability issues).
• Small UI elements (gets muddy).
• "Because it looks cool" (needs purpose).
