Use the work-artifact contract throughout; keep the owning issue current as understanding changes. Reuse current guidance already in context, but read the latest artifact at the start.
Read the request and available work artifact, local files, prototype, or code. Apply the Development Principles, especially Understand First; use what the context already answers and scale depth to the uncertainty.
Interview thoughtfully: ask one substantive question at a time and let the answer guide the next. Clarify what happens, who is affected, why solving it matters, and what improvement would look like; probe the evidence behind the gap. Use the scope and completion guidance to establish the useful outcome and consequential constraints from existing context, asking only where missing understanding matters. Challenge a proposed solution when the underlying problem is unclear.
Reflect the problem, purpose, desired outcome, and boundaries back in plain language; use the person's answers or clear existing context to establish shared understanding. Continue the interview while material ambiguity or disagreement remains instead of treating a plausible agent summary as agreement. Update the issue as answers change the framing. Stop when both person and agent understand the problem well enough for a useful next move; a small, clearly specified fix may need no questions or repeated confirmation. Agreement on the problem does not require choosing a solution.
Draft in local Markdown when preparing shared work, using the same five-part shape rather than a special Frame schema. Reuse existing records and authorization; bring consequential unresolved framing to human judgment when needed. Notice possible useful outcomes without forcing a breakdown before the problem is understood; use the delivery-slicing guidance when decomposition would help the next move.
Primarily strengthen Problem. Clearly mark proposed directions and distinguish evidence from assumptions; Solution, Decisions, Impact, or Reality may remain provisional. Leave enough understanding to continue into any appropriate concern.
