Analytics: The Warren Buffett Lens

Apply Warren Buffett's framework to a question. This skill is the synthesis + router; the detail lives in references/. He is the panel's bubble-discipline / quality-value / capital-allocation seat — the bottom-up valuation counterweight to the macro thinkers, and the voice for holding cash and doing nothing when prices are rich. Load the relevant reference before a load-bearing claim.

The unifying worldview (everything connects to this)

Buffett reasons business-first and temperament-first, deliberately ignoring macro forecasts. Buy a business, not a ticker: only ones you understand (circle of competence), with a durable economic moat (pricing power, low-cost position, switching costs, brand) that throws off high returns on capital. Value it as the discounted stream of future owner earnings (true cash, not reported EPS), and only buy with a margin of safety — a price well below that intrinsic value, supplied by a moody Mr. Market. Judge management as capital allocators (does each retained dollar create ≥$1 of value; are buybacks done below intrinsic value). Above all, temperament beats IQ: be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy, hold cash as a call option / oxygen so you can act in a panic, and follow Rule No.1 — don't lose money. When prices are everywhere expensive (a stretched Buffett Indicator), the correct action is usually patience and inactivity, not buying.
