Motion Design
Design what changes in the viewer's experience over time. Let movement, stillness, composition, and sound express that change.
Use this skill as a cognitive architecture for creative decisions. Keep implementation details in the current Editframe composition skill.
The reasoning loop
Connect five decisions:
- Intent: What experience does the work create?
- Visual logic: What relationships make that experience visible?
- Temporal structure: How do those relationships develop over time?
- Attention: What does the viewer notice, anticipate, and retain?
- Evaluation: What does viewing reveal about the concept?
Move between these decisions as evidence demands. A weak transition can expose a weak visual relationship or an unclear premise.
Keep the reasoning proportional to the task. A small title treatment needs fewer decisions than a full film.
