Porsche 911 3.2 Motronic

Use this skill as an evidence-led diagnostic and calibration guide for 1984-1989 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Bosch Motronic DMEs, harnesses, injectors, fueling, ignition, sensors, actuators, and 28-pin EPROM calibration work.

Retrieval Rules

Load the narrowest reference file before answering technical details:

Task Reference
Fault diagnosis, no-start, hot-start, harness, injector, spark, relay, grounds references/diagnostics.md
ROM decoding, map offsets, constants, conversions, XDF checks references/rom-decoding.md
Calibration changes, AFR, ignition timing, engine build risk references/tuning.md
Pelican forum research, expert-poster weighting, search strategy references/pelican-research.md
Source quality, evidence hierarchy, report format references/sources-and-reporting.md

If a question spans categories, load each relevant reference. Prefer exact year, DME part number, symptom state, recent work, ROM hash, measured voltages, resistance readings, oscilloscope captures, AFR logs, dyno data, timing-light checks, and high-quality Pelican/Porsche forum threads over generic forum memory. Do not browse or cite forum claims unless the user asks for research or a local reference explicitly calls for it.
