Unsure where to start? Run materialize. It's the conductor: it asks how much process the task needs (QUICK, STANDARD, SPEC, or FREEFORM), then chains the phase modes for you. Reach below only when you want to drive the steps by hand with /materialize <mode>.

A flow is a path through the modes. Most paths run along one main flow, and two on-ramps merge onto it. Everything else is standalone.
