Apply this skill when the user opens a solution discussion rather than requesting execution:

"cómo resolverías X" / "how would you approach X"
"qué approach/herramienta/patrón conviene para X"
"tengo esta duda de arquitectura / de diseño"
Any open-ended "how should we do X" on backend, frontend, devops, design, mobile, tooling, or methodology — where more than one viable path exists and the forces are not yet named

Do NOT apply for: a decision already made (execute it), a single-file mechanical edit, a direct factual lookup, or a question with one obvious answer. Those stay in the default direct style.

Pairs with deep-analysis (borrows its convergence discipline at the final stage) and can hand off to /sdd-explore or plan mode once a direction is chosen.
