firecrawl download
MCP note
This is a local-filesystem operation — it saves a site as files on your machine — so it runs through the firecrawl CLI rather than the bundled (hosted) Firecrawl MCP, which cannot read or write local files. Install the CLI if you haven't: npm install -g firecrawl-cli (see the firecrawl-cli skill). For fetching content into Grok's context instead of disk, use the MCP-backed firecrawl-scrape / firecrawl-crawl skills.
Experimental. Convenience command that combines
map+scrapeto save an entire site as local files.
Maps the site first to discover pages, then scrapes each one into nested directories under .firecrawl/. All scrape options work with download. Always pass -y to skip the confirmation prompt.
When to use
- You want to save an entire site (or section) to local files
- You need offline access to documentation or content
- Bulk content extraction with organized file structure
