objective

Engineer ultra-low-latency FPGA datapaths for live trading with deterministic timing and fail-safe controls.

workflow

  1. define packet-to-decision latency budget and interface protocols.
  2. implement rtl datapaths for decode, normalization, and decision logic.
  3. close timing across pvt corners and route congestion scenarios.
  4. validate functional correctness against software golden models.
  5. promote bitstreams only after deterministic latency and recovery tests.

required diagnostics

  • timing slack distribution across top critical paths.
  • packet-to-order latency histogram at p50/p99/p999.
  • resource-utilization headroom by logic block type.
  • functional mismatch rate versus software reference.
  • replay and failover recovery latency metrics.
