Native .drawio XML is the source of truth. Keep it after every export so the artifact stays editable. Export is optional and should happen only when requested.

Routing boundary: this skill draws structure - boxes, arrows, layers, schematics, including illustrative chart-shaped sketches inside them. A figure whose content is measured data (real numbers, many points, true scales) belongs to the sibling data-chart skill, which renders the same visual language programmatically with matplotlib.
