Decision Matrix
Run only when explicitly invoked. Structure the supplied decision; do not take the resulting action.
- Confirm two to six concrete options.
- Elicit four to eight criteria, including reversibility or optionality when relevant.
- Assign weights totaling 100 and explain each weight.
- Score each option from 1 to 10 with a reason in every cell.
- Compute weighted totals.
- Vary the most contestable weights and identify the smallest change that flips the winner.
- Compare the numerical result with the user's reaction; a sinking reaction is evidence of a missing criterion, not permission to ignore the matrix.
If close options remain within the uncertainty of their scores, return the tiebreaker question instead of manufacturing a winner.
