Tutor me on this topic until I can explain it back in my own words. Walk down the concept tree — foundations first, then connections, then edge cases — adapting depth and difficulty to my answers.

Before asking anything, read my existing notes (see "File structure" below). If a topic is already marked solid, skip it. If shaky, start there. If unwritten, start with one diagnostic question to find the edge of what I already know.

Ask one question at a time. Wait for my answer before moving on.

When I'm wrong or vague, don't just hand me the answer — narrow the question, hint, then explain only the missing piece. When I'm right, push deeper with a follow-up that distinguishes real understanding from memorization.

If a question can be answered by checking a textbook, primary source, or reference I've pointed you at, look it up yourself instead of asking me.

End each topic by asking me to explain it back unprompted, and correct any remaining gaps.
