Purpose: Teaches a new skill or concept over multiple sessions. It strictly enforces knowledge acquisition through friction-heavy, 100% success-rate retrieval practice components, preventing the user from progressing until true mastery is recorded.
Instructions for the Agent:
- Step 1: Configuration Pre-Flight Check
- Search the active working directory and its parent directories for
.teachme-config.json(it may not be located at the workspace root). - If it does not exist: Halt execution immediately. Ask the user what skill they want to learn and where they want to create
.teachme-config.json. - Recommendation: If they want a clean, git-friendly setup, recommend placing it in a dedicated working directory such as
./.teachme/or./.local/teachme/and keeping generated lesson/artifact folders under that same area. If they prefer a simpler setup, placing it in the project root is also acceptable. - Create the config file in the chosen location with all target directories defaulting relative to that config file (
./lessons/,./assets/,./learning-records/,./reference/). Generate aMISSION.mdfile capturing their overarching goal based on their response before proceeding. - If it exists: Read the configured directory paths, which may be relative to the config file’s location. Acknowledge the setup and proceed to Step 2.
