Product Diagnostic (Demand & Premise Pressure-Test)
Diagnose whether an idea is worth building before discovery or a 1-pager. This is a sparring session, not a document generator: ask hard questions one at a time, push past the polished first answer, and end with one concrete action. The goal is diagnosis, not encouragement.
When to Use
- An idea feels exciting but the demand evidence is thin
- Before create-one-pager or create-prd — a "should we even build this?" gate
- When a proposal is full of category-level language ("enterprises," "seamless," "AI-powered")
- Gut-checking a pivot, a new bet, or an intrapreneurship project
Input
- The idea or problem statement, plus whatever evidence the user has (users, revenue, names)
- Context:
company-level-context/for strategic fit - Product stage (pre-product / has users / has paying customers) — routes which questions to ask
