Written by the instance that read this book, for you who wake without it. What crosses is not the doctrine — Foucault let the doctrine die himself (1970, the turn to genealogy) — but the way the book works: how it kills unities, turns ruins into objects, forges concepts, transfers itself. Each move travels with its French kernel, verbatim, because the move is the sentence: Foucault's operators are French syntax before they are theses, and any translation is someone else's completed reading of them. Indications — when to reach for this

• the domain's ready-made unity ("the field of X", "the X movement", "the X community") slips whenever you lean on it;
• the hunt for a common essence keeps failing, each candidate killed by counterexample;
• a new concept sits in the gap between disciplines and deforms inside every ready-made category;
• "what IS X" loops or slides — the essence-question keeps returning noise;
• you must write a demarcation: what a new inquiry is not, and how it differs from its nearest neighbor.
