spine-curate is a manual maintainer capability. Do not run it as a routine end-of-task phase.

Read the project AGENTS.md knowledge index, the candidate material, and the referenced source evidence. Prefer code, tests, decisions, and receipts over recollection.
Check that an indexed document still exists, its summary matches its contents, and linked paths resolve. Identify stale entries from changed source paths when that evidence is available.
Prepare a proposal grouped as promote, update, prune, and follow-up. Every proposed knowledge claim needs an evidence anchor; do not promote advice or speculation as fact.
Present the proposal and obtain explicit maintainer approval before editing documentation or the knowledge index. Apply only approved actions.
Recheck changed links and report what was promoted, updated, pruned, or deferred.

When independent input helps, dispatch native subagents with the generic briefs in references/. They provide evidence checks, not authority to alter the proposal.
