The code is intended to generate EPUB files and shows no evidence of malware, exfiltration, backdoors, cryptomining, or command execution. It is malformed/incomplete as supplied. The main security issue is unsanitized image.filename use in filesystem writes, which should be constrained to safe relative filenames and verified after resolution. Direct insertion of chapter.content and unknown text-conversion behavior also create potential content-injection risks in generated EPUB documents. Review the omitted methods before deployment.
