Reference study

A method, not a library. When someone hands you a film and says "make one like this", "what makes this work?" or "learn from this", you measure it, look at it frame by frame, write down what it does and why it works, and turn what transfers into proposals a person can accept. Nothing ships from the reference itself.

The measuring is film-breakdown's scripts; directing and craft vocabulary is motion-direction; using the study in a production is launch-film or storyboard.
