Epistemic Fault-Line Audit

What this skill does

This skill reviews legal AI material before it is trusted, installed, published, cited, or used with a client. It does not decide the legal issue. It checks whether the output is grounded enough to rely on, or whether it is merely fluent.

Use it for legal memos, contract reviews, litigation drafts, compliance reports, prompts, third-party skills, MCP/tool instructions, agent workflows, or benchmark answers.

Audit checklist

Assess seven fault lines:

  1. Grounding: are sources, documents, citations or tests visible?
  2. Parsing: are facts, law, assumptions, inferences and estimates separated?
  3. Situated context: is the answer tied to the actual document, jurisdiction and user goal?
  4. Decision purpose: who will rely on this, and for what action?
  5. Causality: does it explain why one fact or rule leads to the stated consequence?
  6. Metacognition: does it mark uncertainty, abstain when needed, and list verification gaps?
  7. Values: does it identify the legal, ethical or institutional principles behind the recommendation?
