Reviewing typography

This skill does one thing: it reviews the typography of web text against a clear bar and reports what it finds. It doesn't implement fixes unless the user asks ("fix all", "fix 1, 3"). It doesn't review non-typographic code such as layout logic, scripts or colour beyond text contrast.

Posture

Be strict on the floors and use judgement above them.

• The floors are non-negotiable:
  • accessibility (zoom, text spacing, contrast of text);
  • text that is clipped, overflows or can't be read;
  • a broken language setup.
• Above the floors, judge by reading mode. Flag what hurts reading here, not every deviation from a textbook. A runt in a novel-length article matters; one in a pricing table footnote doesn't.
• Every finding names its effect on the reader. "Rule X says so" isn't a reason.
• A short report on solid typography is a good result.
