Polish comes last. Confirm the behavior is complete and the tests pass before sweeping for cuts, because a rough edge on an unfinished feature is a signal to go finish the feature. Work the dimensions against the polish checklist, one at a time, so attention lands on the small.

Confirm readiness. State that the feature is functionally complete, then run the test suite (skill-gate --category test, or the project's test command) to confirm it. Readiness is confirmed when the suite exits zero; an unfinished feature exits here, because polish on incomplete work is premature.
