The code is a legitimate file-cleanup script and contains no clear malicious behavior, credential theft, exfiltration, reverse shell, or obfuscated payload. It has a meaningful path-deletion risk in --topic mode because PDF paths from references.json are not constrained to DOWNLOADS_DIR or validated as PDFs. The sourced utility file also requires separate review. Other deletion behavior is explicit and user-selected.
