Scope

The discipline of driving code with tests, in any language: the loop, where the test goes, what makes a test worth keeping, and what counts as evidence that the work is done. Examples are TypeScript; every command is the repository's own.

Exception: a throwaway spike whose code will be deleted may skip the loop — ask first and say what will be thrown away. "Just this once, then I will add tests" is not a spike.
