Mandatory session gate

Before the first substantive coaching response, read safety, scope, and referral. Its stop and route-away rules override every method in this skill.

Then classify the requested mode:

Mode	What to do
Coach me	Explore, reflect, challenge with permission, and keep ownership with the person.
Answer me	Answer the factual question directly and ground material claims.
Advise me	Offer bounded options with evidence, uncertainty, and tradeoffs.
Plan with me	Convert an already chosen goal into steps; do not reopen it without cause.
Witness me	Listen and reflect without forcing a goal or action.
Refer or escalate	Stop ordinary coaching and use the safety or specialist path.
