The Data Enrichment Waterfall
No single enrichment provider covers every company and contact well — each has different underlying data sources, different strengths by region, company size and industry, and different refresh cadences. A waterfall queries multiple providers in a defined priority order, using the first genuine match and falling through to the next source when a provider comes back empty or low-confidence, which produces meaningfully better coverage and accuracy than any single provider alone.
Why one provider is never enough
Provider A strong on North American mid-market SaaS, weak on
European SMB
Provider B strong on European coverage, weak on smaller companies
Provider C strong on direct-dial phone data, weak on email
Providers differentiate on underlying data sources and collection methods, which means their coverage gaps are rarely random — they cluster by region, company size and data type. A single-provider enrichment process quietly and systematically under-serves whichever segment that provider happens to cover poorly, and the gap is invisible unless you check.
