Review Site Intent Leads
Review platforms are usually managed as a reputation and social-proof channel — collect good reviews, respond to bad ones — and rarely worked as an active lead source, even though they carry some of the highest-intent buyer behavior available: someone comparing two named competitors on G2 is, almost by definition, in an active evaluation.
The vendor-alert and buyer-intent features most listings never turn on
[ ] Comparison-page alerts — most platforms notify vendors when
someone views a comparison including their profile
[ ] "Buyer intent" data products, where the platform sells
aggregated signal on who's actively researching your category
[ ] Category alerts for new reviews mentioning a named competitor
Most vendor accounts on these platforms are set up once and never revisited for their alerting and intent features, which is where most of the actual lead-generation value sits. A listing with reviews and a logo uploaded is doing the reputation half of the job and none of the lead-generation half.
