Veterinary Practice Lead Generation
Veterinary is a well-documented vertical — practices are on regulatory registers, vets are individually licensed and publicly listed, and practice standards schemes publish accredited sites.
The dominant fact in this market is consolidation. A large and growing share of practices are owned by corporate groups that buy centrally, and identifying them is the single most important filtering step.
Who actually buys
| Type | Who decides |
|---|---|
| Single independent practice | The principal vet or practice owner |
| Independent group (2-8 sites) | Owner or practice manager. Best target |
| Corporate-owned practice | Head office. The local team decides nothing |
| Referral / specialist centre | Clinical director or hospital manager |
| Farm / equine practice | Senior partner, different economics entirely |
Corporate ownership is often invisible on the website. Practices keep their original name and branding after acquisition. Checking the ownership on the register or in filings is essential, and skipping it means a campaign to people who cannot buy.
The practice manager is the operational buyer for anything non-clinical, exactly as in human healthcare.
