Astro Accessibility

Purpose

Build Astro sites everyone can use: correct semantic structure, keyboard and screen-reader support, accessible forms and media, and motion preferences — as a design constraint, not an afterthought.

When to Use

Activate when the task involves:

• building pages or components with forms, navigation, images, or interactive elements
• fixing keyboard navigation or focus issues
• screen-reader semantics (landmarks, labels, ARIA)
• images and alt text (astro-assets interaction)
• reduced-motion and view-transition accessibility
• accessibility auditing
