Astro Assets

Purpose

Handle every asset in an Astro project correctly: images optimized and served at the right size/format, fonts loaded efficiently, static files placed where the build treats them right.

When to Use

Activate when the task involves:

• adding or optimizing images
• astro:assets: <Image>, <Picture>, getImage
• choosing formats, sizes, or responsive image config (widths, sizes, densities)
• configuring the image service or remote image access
• fonts: self-hosting, @fontsource, loading strategy
• deciding between public/ and src/ for a file
• favicons, robots.txt, and other static files
